NDMUNC III
October 1st - 4th 2026
ANNOUNCING NDMUNC III THEME:
Securing Our Future
NDMUNC Secretariat is proud to introduce our theme for the 2026 year: Securing Our Future. In a year marked by geopolitical instability, rapid technological advancement, and evolving security threats, the responsibility to think proactively and ethically about our future has never been more urgent. Committees built around this theme will encourage delegates to examine not only security crises but the strategic decisions that determine global resilience. We look forward to seeing how delegates will embody this theme over the course of the conference.
Letter from the Secretary-General
Dear Delegates, Advisors, Chaperones, and Parents,
My name is Sam Robinson, and I am beyond honored to be welcoming you to NDMUNC III!
Since the revival of NDMUNC post-COVID, we have worked tirelessly to provide an exceptional simulation of international bodies, like the United Nations, for our attendees. I have been participating in Model UN since middle school, and I am of the firm belief that it is one of the most valuable, formative activities a student can participate in. We at NDMUNC aim to foster a welcoming environment for all students, to drive engagement with substantive global issues and empower the next generation of leaders to find their voices through diplomacy, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving.
I am also excited to announce our theme for NDMUNC III: Securing our Future. With current global instability, the need for principled diplomacy has never been more critical. This weekend, we ask you to step into the shoes of global leaders to tackle the multifaceted threats to our collective security, proving that through cooperation and compromise, a more secure future is obtainable.
I am incredibly proud of the work our Secretariat and staff have put into this conference, and I am even more excited to see the hard work and effort you all bring to the committee rooms.
Welcome to Notre Dame, and welcome to NDMUNC III!
Sam Robinson
Secretary-General | NDMUNC III
Why NDMUNC?
NDMUNC III is an immersive dive into global leadership, diplomacy, and academic excellence. Staffed entirely by undergraduate students at the University of Notre Dame, we at NDMUNC pride ourselves on providing students with a holistic experience in global policy. Delegates participate in substantive committee sessions that emphasize thorough research, structured debate, and strategic negotiation. Through thoughtfully designed committees and dynamic crisis simulations, students will learn to confront complex international issues and are expected to draft innovative solutions.
